SECRETARIAT

Effective administration and organization is critical to the success of any activity. As such the ARNTD has put in place robust organizational structures and procedures to ensure that our objectives are met in a timely fashion. The ARNTD operates in virtual manner but maintains a lean Executive Secretariat (ES) which maximizes the use of IT to coordinate and facilitate communication with and among members.

The ARNTD Secretariat is hosted by the Kumasi Centre for Collaborative Research (KCCR) in Kumasi, Ghana, which currently provides legal covering and logistical support to the Secretariat. The Secretariat is staffed by four professionals, a part-time (50%) Executive Director – ED (Dr. John Amuasi), and supported by a Scientific Officer – SO (Dr. Anthony Afum-Adjei Awuah) and two Research Officers – ROs (Mr. Louis Adu-Amoah) and (Mr. Leslie Mawuli Aglanu), to oversee the activities of the network. The ED is a Researech Group Lead, the SO doubles as a Post-Doc Fellow, and the ROs are trained Biomedical scientist and Environmentalist, respectively, all with KCCR and also studying for their PhDs.
