Doris W. Njomo

Dr. Doris Njomo holds a PhD degree in Public Health and conducts operational research and capacity building in Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) control and elimination. Through JICA training she led in the development of the Kenya National School-Based Deworming Guidelines. She sits on several National NTDs Control Committees.
She is a Fellow of the African Doctoral Dissertation Research Fellowship (ADDRF), has received several awards and honors including: WHO/TDR, ADDRF/APHRC- Bill Gates Funding through NTDs Support Centre, Atlanta and the NACOSTI 2012/2013 Science, Technology and Innovation Grant.
Doris has published several scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals and is supervising several MSc. and PhD students. In the devolved system of Kenya Government, Dr. Njomo is the KEMRI Research Coordinator of five counties of the Country.
