Robert Tweyongyere

Profile

Robert Tweyongyere is a research fellow at the Uganda Virus Research Institute, Entebbe and a Senior Lecturer at the College of Veterinary Medicine Animal Resourses and Biosecurit at the Makerere University. He holds a BVM (Makerere), MSc (RVC London) and a PhD (Makerere/Cambridge).

He received the following awards: Junior Fellowship EFINT (2009); Young Investigators Award by American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (2006); Commonwealth split-site doctoral fellowship Award at Cambridge University (2006/2007); Makerere University School of Postgraduate Studies Staff Development Research Grant Award(2005/2007), and Danish Bilharziasis Laboratory (DBL)-Institute for Health Research and Development Research Grant Award in 2004.

His research interests are on Infectious diseases, namely on Immunobiology, Diagnostics and Vaccine Development with publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals.

 

ARNTD exists to support evidence-based control and elimination of NTDs from Africa by empowering current and future generations of African researchers.
