Professor Sammy Njenga is a Chief Research Scientist at the Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) and the current Director of Eastern & Southern Africa Centre of International Parasite Control (ESACIPAC).
Professor Njenga is actively involved in conducting research on Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs), including lymphatic filariasis, schistosomiasis, and soil-transmitted helminths. He is often invited to serve as an Advisor on NTDs during meetings and to provide technical assistance to national programmes. He has published widely and also serves as a reviewer for several scientific journals.
